South Paulding Youth and Junior Spartans Girls Basketball Program

Overview:  The SPHS Youth and Jr. Basketball Girls Program is a developmental program for girls who want to play competitive basketball against other school teams in Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding and N. Fulton counties.  The purpose of the program is to work on fundamentals and develop players for the high school program.  Varsity Girls Coach Kelly Nye-Hinkson regards the Youth and Junior program as a needed building block of the South Paulding High School basketball program.

The developmental program K-6th grade will be an In-House program. NPHS and Hiram have the same programs at this level. The practices are geared towards skills & drills, then they play games within against each other. This helps keep the girls together and developing throughout the years for the 7th/8th grade teams to compete at the CCJBC league and eventually high school program on the 9th, JV, and Varsity levels.
